Due to the ongoing Table Rock and Persimmon Ridge wildfires and the forecasted increase in wind gusts that may push smoke and fire in our direction, Terra Nova Center will be closed to the public until Monday at the earliest.

Transylvania County is currently experiencing very unhealthy air quality, with a Code Purple Air Quality Alert issued by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality yesterday.

For the well-being of our congregation, guests, and greater community, we are canceling all weekend activities, including Sunday Service, in order to remain vigilant as fire conditions evolve and to follow public health guidance to stay indoors.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and post updates if anything changes. While we are not currently within the official evacuation map, evacuations have reached up to Cascade Lake, just shy of Reasonover Road. Staff have worked diligently throughout the week to prepare the property and ensure that all residents are ready for any eventuality. If an evacuation order is issued, we are ready and prepared to go.

We are praying and holding Western North Carolina in the Light during this difficult time, and we urge all locals to stay alert and be ready to evacuate if they are not already.
